Who he is
The driver
Musella was born in Orlando on 25 May 2009, and holds both American and Italian citizenship. He picked up karting in 2019, and the results came quickly: fourth in the 2022 USPKS X30 Junior standings, and seventh at the SKUSA SuperNationals the same year — the biggest karting race in the United States.
Cars followed in 2023. He moved into single-seaters in Lucas Oil Formula, and tested an F4 car with Scuderia Buell.
2024 was the breakthrough. Driving for Scuderia Buell in the first year of the Ligier JS F4 Series, he won five races, took three poles, stood on the podium twelve times in fifteen starts, and left with the inaugural championship.
That earned a full Road to Indy campaign. In 2025 he joined VRD Racing in USF2000, won at Road America and Portland, and finished the year second in the championship with 371 points — nine podiums across eighteen races. 2026 brought the step into USF Pro 2000 with the same team — a full season in a quicker car, with one podium and multiple top-five finishes.
Where he races in 2027 is still to be confirmed.
“What an amazing year it has been. There were some crazy races and great battles, even back to NOLA for the first race of the season.”
